After the events of the X-Men: First Generation sequel: X-Men: Days of the Past Future, the entire universe in which the first two films of Wolverine and the X-Men trilogy happened, no longer exists. Future films will be part of a new timeline, one in which Bryan Singer explained - everything can happen.
