House of the Flying Daggers - 4 FACTS

1.- The actual translation of the title into English from the Chinese would be 'Ambush from ten sides'

2.- Ziyi Zhang lived with a blind girl for two months, to prepare her character. The girl with whom she shared this experience was blind at twelve because of a brain tumor.

3.- Since the beginning of the Chinese martial arts films, it is a tradition to set a fight in the middle of a bamboo forest, Zhang Yimou did not want to miss this tradition and did a scene like that for this movie.

4.- For the Oscars of 2004, the Chinese government sent 'The House of Flying Daggers' as the chosen one to win the best foreign language film award.
